How it works
It is a thin clear liquid used the same way any toner is, on damp skin after cleansing. The difference is that it is doing a texture job as well, so it is not a step to double up on. That is the difference from a cream, which is built to stay on the surface instead of settling in seconds. It belongs at the start of the leave-on part of a routine, straight after cleansing and before anything thicker. What you can judge yourself is how the skin feels a minute later and how easily the next step spreads.
Key benefits
- supports a brighter, more even-looking complexion over consistent use
- supports a plumper, less dehydrated look through the day
- preps the surface so what follows absorbs more evenly
- carries the intact Korean-market packaging and batch code rather than an over-labeled substitute
- layers cleanly into a multi-step Korean routine without pilling
Key actives
Vigna Radiata Seed Extract
Mung bean seed extract, the brand's core botanical, used here for its mattifying, pore-refining effect on oily skin.
Hyaluronic Acid
A humectant that binds many times its weight in water at the surface. It works on water content specifically, which is a different job from the botanicals and actives elsewhere on the same ingredient list.
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid
A hyaluronic acid fragment small enough to move water into the upper layers rather than sit on top.
Sodium Hyaluronate
A low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid salt that pulls and holds water at the surface, sitting differently in the skin than plain hyaluronic acid.
Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Extract
Mung bean extract used for its traditional pore-refining, mattifying effect. In this formula it works on the look of tone and dark spots rather than on texture or hydration, so it is doing a job the rest of the ingredient list is not.
What is this product, and who is it for?
It is a pore clearing toner in a 265ml bottle, made for oily skin with visible pores across the nose and cheeks. A thicker lotion cannot do the same job at this point, because the next step has to wait for it to settle. You can judge it by how the face feels once it has settled and whether the following step glides on.
Where does this go in my routine?
It is the first leave-on step, used straight after cleansing and before serum and moisturizer. Apply it while the face is still damp, because a watery layer spreads much further on damp skin than on dry. Nothing needs rinsing afterwards. If you use an exfoliant or a treatment, that comes after this, not before.
How much should I use?
Two or three passes with the palms is enough for a whole face, which is roughly a small pool in the centre of one hand. Using a cotton round will use two or three times as much for the same coverage. Morning and evening is the normal rhythm. If the skin still feels tight after it settles, add a second thin layer rather than one heavy one.
Can I layer this with my other steps?
Yes, it is designed to be layered under everything else. Put it on first, then serum, then moisturizer, in that order of thinnest to thickest. Give each layer a few seconds to settle before the next one goes on, which is what keeps anything from balling up. Sunscreen and makeup go on last, once the earlier layers have stopped feeling wet.

How to use
- Press it on as the first leave-on step of the morning and evening, on skin still damp from the sink.
- Two or three passes with the palms cover the whole face and use less than a cotton round would.
- Go over the sides of the nose and the jaw, the two places most people leave dry.
- Avoid dragging a soaked cotton round across the cheeks, since the pull is harder on the skin than the liquid is.
Worth knowing
- Patch test on a small area of the jaw first if your skin reacts easily to something new.
- Start every other evening rather than twice a day, and avoid an area that already feels sore.
