How it works

A facial mist re-wets the skin's surface in seconds, giving whatever was applied underneath, such as a humectant serum, a fresh supply of water to hold onto. Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist leads with Sodium DNA, the INCI form of the salmon-sperm-derived DNA fragment marketed as PDRN, a skin-conditioning ingredient Korean derma brands popularized in ampoules and masks. It is joined by Caviar Extract, a marine extract carrying the amino acids and lipids of caviar, used in Korean formulas for a plumping, cushioned feel. Further down the list, Niacinamide rounds out the formula as a form of vitamin B3 that Korean formulators lean on for evening out tone and reinforcing the skin barrier. That is the case for using Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist as a regular step rather than an occasional extra.

Key benefits

  • Built around Sodium DNA, Caviar Extract, named on this product's own ingredient list
  • A fine, even spray rather than a heavy wet-down
  • Refreshes skin without disturbing makeup underneath
  • Travel-friendly size for a midday top-up
  • Layers cleanly with the rest of a routine

How to use

  1. Use the Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist at any point in the day, over bare skin or over makeup.
  2. Hold it about a hand's width from the face, mist twice, then press it in with your palms.
  3. On a bare face it sits after cleansing and before toner. Over makeup it goes on last, and it is patted, never rubbed.
  4. As often as skin feels dry. Do not leave a mist to dry on its own; water leaving the surface takes some of the skin's own with it.

Worth knowing

  • This step is not a substitute for a dedicated sunscreen, which should still be the last step of the morning routine.
  • New actives, including this one, are best patch tested on the inner arm before a first full-face use.
