How it works
Aquabarrier Ceramide Capsule Cream is Genabelle's cream, formulated to work as a richer, more occlusive-leaning moisturizer step that locks in everything applied underneath. Panthenol sits high on the ingredient list, provitamin B5, supporting barrier softness and easing the look of dryness. Adenosine sits mid list, a wrinkle-care nucleoside, supporting skin's own resilience. Ceramide NP sits further down the list, in a supporting role, one of skin's own barrier lipids, restocking the mortar between skin cells. Genabelle's Aquabarrier line pairs ceramide-adjacent emollients with panthenol for a barrier-first moisturizing focus.
Key benefits
- Panthenol, provitamin B5, supporting barrier softness and easing the look of dryness
- Adenosine, a wrinkle-care nucleoside, supporting skin's own resilience
- Ceramide NP, one of skin's own barrier lipids, restocking the mortar between skin cells
How to use
- Apply it last among your leave-on steps, after your toner and any serum.
- Press it over slightly damp skin until the grainy feel goes, which takes a few seconds.
- Take it down over the neck in the same pass, since that is where a routine usually stops short.
- Do not rub the capsules hard against the skin, because they break under gentle pressure and are not a scrub.
What are the capsules for?
They keep part of the formula separate from the cream around them until you break them on the skin. That is why the texture starts slightly grainy and smooths out as you press it in rather than rubbing.
Will it feel gritty on my face?
Only for the first few seconds. Keep pressing and the graininess disappears into a smooth layer. If it still feels gritty after a minute, you have used more than the skin can take in one pass.
Where does it go in my routine?
Last, after your toner and any serum. Nothing thinner should go on after a cream because it cannot get through. In the morning it is the step before your sunscreen.
Can I use it in the morning?
Yes, the weight is medium rather than balm like, so it works under sunscreen and makeup. Give it a minute to settle first. If your foundation moves, the layer underneath was too thick.
How long does a 50ml jar last?
At twice daily use on the face and neck, around two months. Pressing a small amount onto damp skin goes much further than rubbing a scoop into dry skin, which is where most jars empty early.

Worth knowing
- Use clean fingers or a spatula, since an open jar keeps whatever goes into it.
- Patch test along the jaw for a few days first if your skin reacts easily to new creams.
