Grape Fruit Extract carries polyphenols and fruit acids. It is used as an antioxidant plant extract.
Gluconolactone
Gluconolactone is a PHA, the gentlest exfoliant class. Its molecule is too large to penetrate quickly, so it smooths the surface without the sting of an AHA, and it is a humectant at the same time.
Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract
Willow Bark Extract carries salicin, the plant compound salicylic acid is related to. The two are not interchangeable: willow bark is a mild clarifying extract, not a BHA exfoliant at the levels used in cosmetics.
