Dr. Melaxin is best known for Peel Shot, a line of rinse-off peeling gels you massage over the skin until they roll and then wash away. The Exfoliant Rice and Black Rice ampoules open their lists with rice bran water, the Kojic Acid Turmeric serum and spray carry kojic acid and turmeric root, and the TX serum and TX spray pair niacinamide with tranexamic acid. The Glow White Rice toner and serum share the name but are leave-on steps.
Beyond Peel Shot, the range is organised around how a formula is delivered rather than around a single active: capsule creams that break as you spread them, spicule products carrying microspicules, and the Cactox nose pore packs as a three step kit. The TX line runs from a cleanser through a peeling toner to an ampoule and a cream.
Astaxanthin is the recurring ingredient on the tone side and Cemenrete Calcium is the firming line. Niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine and collagen lead the actives. The Necksphalt and Eyephalt products are formulated for the neck and the under-eye specifically rather than for the face, which is unusual enough to be worth reading before buying.
Which Peel Shot is a peel, and which is not?
Read the format, not the name. The Exfoliant Rice and Black Rice ampoules, the Kojic Acid Turmeric serum and the TX serum are rinse-off peeling gels for the face: cellulose on the list gathers into crumbs as you massage, then everything washes off. The TX spray is the body version, made for the back, elbows and shoulders. The Glow White Rice toner and serum are ordinary leave-on steps. Use one peel at a time, never two on the same day.
What is a spicule product, and do you want one?
A spicule product carries fine mineral or sponge-derived needles that create a tingling, slightly abrasive sensation as you press it in. That is the mechanism, not a fault, and it makes these occasional-use products rather than nightly ones. Do not stack two of them, and do not use one on the same night as an acid or a retinoid. If you would rather not, the TX cream, the Aqua Ion gel cream and the Exosome cream are the plain formats in the same range.
