How it works
The Laser Vita-K Rescue Gel is a 10ml product. The active it is built around is Sodium DNA, named seventh on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Menadione, Ceramide NP and Arnica Montana Flower Extract, so the active is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Sodium DNA stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the product format rather than by the list alone. This is the Original Korean Formula, the product Genabelle sells in Korea, Sodium DNA and all.
Key benefits
- Sodium DNA, the active this product is built around
- Menadione on the same list, a vitamin
- Ceramide NP on the same list, a barrier lipid
- Arnica Montana Flower Extract and Centella Asiatica Extract on the same list, plant extracts
- Sodium Hyaluronate further down the same list
- Sodium DNA named seventh on the manufacturer list printed on this page
Key actives
Sodium DNAactive
Sodium DNA is the salt of DNA, in Korean skincare almost always salmon derived, and it is the ingredient behind the PDRN category. It is used as a humectant and for the look of tired skin; the fragments themselves are what the name PDRN refers to. On this product's own ingredient list it is named seventh.
Menadionevitamin
Menadione is a synthetic form of vitamin K. In a formula it is used at very low levels as a conditioning vitamin. It is named eighth on this product's list, alongside Sodium DNA.
Ceramide NPbarrier lipid
Ceramide NP is the most used cosmetic ceramide, the same class of lipid that makes up roughly half the mortar between cells in the outer layer of skin. Added to a cream it slots into that structure, which is why ceramide formulas feel less leaky rather than merely greasy. The panel names it fourteenth on this product's list, beside Sodium DNA.
Arnica Montana Flower Extractplant extract
Arnica flower extract, a long-standing plant ingredient for the look of bruised, marked skin. It carries sesquiterpene lactones and flavonoids. The panel names it ninth on this product's list, beside Sodium DNA.
Centella Asiatica Extractplant extract
Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. It is named thirteenth on this product's list, alongside Sodium DNA.
Is this the Korean-market product or a US version?
The Korean-market one, Sodium DNA and all. We match this product to its Korean barcode before it reaches the shelf, which is the check that tells you which market release you are holding.
What else is on the list besides Sodium DNA?
Menadione, Ceramide NP and Arnica Montana Flower Extract. The order they are printed in on this product's panel is the order on the box, so you can see where Sodium DNA sits relative to them. Further down the same panel: Centella Asiatica Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate.

How to use
- Apply it after your serum, dabbing a small amount onto the one area you are focused on.
- Let it dry for a minute before your moisturiser goes over the top of the whole face.
- Keep to one or two areas at a time, since a 10ml tube is not sized for the whole face.
- Do not apply it to broken skin, and never use it in place of care a clinician has given you.
Worth knowing
- Patch test this product on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Sodium DNA on the list.
- Introduce this product on its own for the first week, so anything your skin does is traceable to the Sodium DNA rather than to three changes at once.
